Le Guess Who? has shared the video as part of the expansion of their recording archives.
The Utrecht festival has shared the live premiere of AEAEA – a collaboration between former Crack Magazine cover star Nicolas Jaar and Patrick Higgins. The performance first premiered in 2019, and it features the two artists resampling and reprocessing each other’s sounds in real time. Watch the 16-minute performance below.
Le Guess Who? was postponed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In its place, the festival launched the hybrid event ON/OFF. ON was an online TV channel and OFF was a series of physical performances staged across Utrecht.
The festival is set to return on 11-14 November 2021, and it’ll take place across various pop-up venues, theatres, churches, museums, warehouses and public squares. The line-up features artists such as William Basinski – who will perform Lamentations at the event – Pa Salieu, former Crack Magazine cover star KeiyaA, Lucinda Chua, Black Country, New Road, Tara Clerkin Trio and more.
