Berghain to reopen its garden this weekend

Berghain

Ben Klock, Gabrielle Kwarteng and Freddy K will play at the venue this Saturday and Sunday.

Berghain will reopen its garden this weekend for the first time in over nine months. The first Klubgarten parties to be held in the Berlin club’s outdoor space will take place this Saturday (10 July) and Sunday (11 July). Both events will run from 1pm. They’ll be followed by a further two Klubgarten events the following weekend, on 17 July and 18 July. The likes of Gabrielle Kwarteng, Ben Klock, Freddy K and Paramida are confirmed for the reopening weekend. Artists like Gerd Janson, Fiedel, Steffi and Virginia will play out the following week.

Those hoping to attend the events must show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test conducted no more than 24 hours prior to arriving at the venue. In a statement shared to it website, Berghain also states that attendees must wear their own medical or FFP2 masks while in the queue, entrance area and in the entire Klubgarten. It’s worth noting that the venue’s reopening is also subject to change based on the weather.

“281 days later and we meet again in a garden,” reads the statement. “From this Saturday on, weather permitting, we will open our outdoor dancefloor with DJs every weekend.”

“Based loosely on the motto of a great American DJ philosopher: We keep on dancing and prancing! Things kick off by sets from our Ukrainian Berghain resident Etapp Kyle, marathon human and techno activist of the first hour Freddy K, as well as Panorama Bar resident Paramida. Dancing for a better tomorrow.”

“Only in dry weather. For your and everyone’s protection against droplet infection and aerosols, hygiene measures are ensured in Klubgarten. Admission only for people vaccinated, recovered or tested negative within less than 24 hours.”
