Radiohead announce Kid A Mnesia virtual exhibition

The band have teamed up with Epic Games on the digital experience, which ties into their upcoming Kid A Mnesia reissue project.

Radiohead has collaborated with Epic Games on a new virtual exhibition based on the band’s Kid A and Amnesiac LPs, which will soon be packaged together as part of a triple-album reissue project.

The mysterious exhibition debuted last night (9 September) during Sony’s PlayStation Showcase 2021. It has been described as “an upside-down digital/analogue universe created from original artwork and recordings to commemorate the coming of age of Radiohead’s Kid A and Amnesiac.” The exhibition was developed by namethemachine and Arbitrarily Good Productions and is slated for release in November. It will be available to download on Mac, PC or PS5 via the Epic Games store. Watch a trailer for it below.

As mentioned, Radiohead are reissuing their seminal albums Kid A and Amnesiac later this year, compiling them alongside a new album comprised of previously unheard material from their sessions, including tracks If You Say the Word and Follow Me Around. The upcoming release, which was announced earlier this week, marks the anniversaries of both projects and will be shared in November via XL Recordings. Kid A turns 21 this year, while Amnesiac turns 20.

Tune into If You Say the Word below and pre-order Kid A Mnesia ahead of its release on 5 November.
