The follow-up to For the First Time lands on 4 February via Ninja Tune.

Black Country, New Road have a new album on the way.

The band’s second full-length project is titled Ants From Up There and was unveiled today (12 October) alongside lead single – and live show favourite – Chaos Space Marine. Listen to the new track below.

The London-based seven-piece recorded the album at Chale Abbey Studios on the Isle Of Wight this summer, alongside their long-term live engineer Sergio Maschetzko. “We were just so hyped the whole time,” says bassist Tyler Hyde in a statement. “It was such a pleasure to make. I’ve kind of accepted that this might be the best thing that I’m ever part of for the rest of my life. And that’s fine.”

It’s the follow-up to Black Country, New Road’s February-released debut album For the First Time, which was shortlisted for this year’s Mercury Prize.

Ants From Up There is slated for release on 4 February via Ninja Tune. Pre-order the album here and read our feature on Black Country, New Road.
