Berlin clubs to reopen on 4 March

Restrictions on clubbing in the German capital are set to be lifted from next Friday (4 March).

From next week, Berlin nightclubs will be allowed to fully open again. The news follows on from the ban on dancing in clubs that was enforced on 8 December, which resulted in the temporary closure of most clubs.

The Berlin Senate officially announced the re-opening of nightlife venues across the German capital on Wednesday (23 February) this week. Attendees will be required to follow the ‘2G Plus’ rule, which asks that attendees show proof of vaccination or recent recovery from Covid-19 as well as proof of a negative antigen test on entry. There will be no social distancing measures in place and masks will no longer be mandatory.

Following the announcement, several Berlin clubbing institutions including Club OST, Panke, Hoppetosse, and Funkhaus have announced their reopening parties.

Berlin’s Club Commission, who previously criticised the ban on dancing, shared the details via the Instagram post below. Check it out.
