Schiev Festival returns this week.
The Brussels-based avant-garde pop festival is set to showcase an eclectic line-up of local Belgian talent and international artists. Taking place at Beursschouwburg between 18 and 20 February, schiev will host sets from Portuguese selector Odete, atmospheric ambient from Sofie Birch and breakcore producer Exoterrism. Other artists playing include Julek Ploski, TTristana, Amosphère and Roxane Métayer.
This year is set to be a hybrid edition of the festival, with live performances and conferences taking place in Beursschouwburg alongside streamed sets. For those unable to attend the events in the Belgian capital, the sets can be streamed online.
This year, 65 percent of the line-up is comprised of non-male artists. Schiev is also pioneering a fee equity policy, which means that every artist involved will be paid the same amount.
