Samsung has teamed up with director Will Robson-Scott to launch the new video series Nocturnal Narratives.
Filmed on Samsung Galaxy S22 devices using the Nightography feature, the series is comprised of three short films. Each compelling visual follows the story of its protagonists and how they wake in the night to continue with their craft. Nocturnal Narratives focuses on Kaiva Kaimins, who runs the Dalston florist My Lady Garden, Safiyyah Syeed – otherwise known as the Hijabi Boxer – and Fred & Freddy, who run the forward-thinking club night Keep Hush.
The series begins with Kaimins and follows her on her early morning trip to the flower market before she opens My Lady Garden. The Samsung Galaxy S22 phones feature a 23 percent larger sensor than their S21 and S21+ predecessors, as well as Adaptive Pixel technology. This allows users to capture more details and colours in the dark using the brand’s new Nightography feature. Watch the first video below.
“My hijab empowers me,” Syeed says in the second video. “I couldn’t box without it.” Syeed is one of few Muslim boxers who choose to wear the hijab in the ring. Her training schedule takes place during nocturnal hours, when most people are asleep. Watch her empowering story below.
Created by music fans for music fans, Keep Hush is one of the most exciting club nights in the UK – one that combines impeccable curation with a whole lot of fun. For the third episode of the video series, Robson-Scott follows Keep Hush founders Fred & Freddy to their events, effectively capturing the dynamism of their club nights on the S22’s 12MP ultra-wide lens.
