The Detroit DJ and musician has cancelled his upcoming shows following a severe car crash over the weekend.
Moodymann’s label Mahogani Music confirmed the news via a social media post yesterday (30 May). “We regret to inform you that Moodymann along with another cherished member of our Mahogani Music family were injured in a severe auto incident,” the label wrote. Moodymann had been set to perform at a Where My Keys party in his hometown of Detroit last night.
A follow up post a few hours later stated that “everyone involved in the collision is on the road to recovery.” The label’s statement continued, “please allow us the time and space to heal. Unfortunately we must cancel some upcoming tour dates. We will update the calendar as time goes on.”
