The former Crack Magazine cover star has announced her next release.

FKA twigs has unveiled the release date and cover art for her next single. The forthcoming track, entitled Killer, is set for release on 16 June.

The artist took to social media last night (6 June) to tease the new track, which she’s described as one for “for baddies with a tear in their eye”. She also posted teasers of the new single on her YouTube and TikTok channels. Check out a clip of twigs performing the new song on stage below.

FKA twigs released her last full-length record – a 17-track mixtape entitled CAPRISONGS – in January. The record featured collaborations with Pa Salieu, Rema, Jorja Smith and Unknown T, Shygirl and more, and served as a follow-up to her 2019 album MAGDALENE. In our review of the mixtape, we described it as an “indelible chapter in the story of one of contemporary pop’s most intriguing minds”.

The artist also made an appearance in a recent music video shared by Swedish rapper Yung Lean. The Bliss visual referenced Nelly and Kelly Rowland’s mid-noughties classic Dilemma with twigs texting, “where u at?” in an Excel spreadsheet. Rowland later responded to the video on social media.
