Part of the SHAPE+ platform, the festival spotlights the work of up and coming Belgian musicians, with a strong focus on live performance. The festival also invites local record labels to showcase their artists. schiev also explores the workings of the music industry, with talks on gender issues, trends and other topics.
Performances from Clgvê, Mihalis Shammas, d’incise, Yamila, Pisitakun, abidar, Ojoo Gyal and more are taking place across the weekend. shiev Festival’s host of record labels include: Kraak, Rebel Up, Ini Itu, Cheap Satanism. Midi Fish, Lexi Disques, Santé Loisirs, Cowboy / Cowgirl and several others.
