The album is slated for release this summer.

Squid have announced their second album O Monolith, which is due to be released on 9 June via Warp Records.

O Monolith follows 2021’s critically acclaimed Bright Green Field. Produced by Dan Carey and mixed by John McEntire, the new album will be followed by a UK headline tour. Squid began work on the album two weeks after the release of their debut, bringing the songs together in Bristol rehearsal rooms before moving on to Real World studios in Wiltshire.

The band have shared lead single Swing (In A Dream) from the upcoming eight-track record. Speaking about the new track, drummer Ollie Judge said: “This was inspired by a dream I had about a painting called The Swing by Jean-Honoré Fragonard. In my dream I was in the painting but it was flooded and everything was floating away.”
