MUTEK Montréal announces first names for 2023 edition

The international electronic music and digital arts festival returns this summer.

The first wave of acts set to play MUTEK Montréal 2023 have been announced. The sprawling initial line-up, unveiled today (21 March), features a plethora of acts yet to grace the MUTEK stage. Such artists include the likes of Salamanda, dBridge, Deena Abdelwahed, µ-Ziq and Alessandro Cortini. E-Saggilla was also confirmed alongside Nick León, Honeydrip, Ale Hop and Eris Drew, who’ll collaborate with Jeisson Drenth.

Lowfish, who performed at the festival’s third edition in 2002, is also set to make an appearance alongside fellow Canadian artists Deadbeat and Tim Hecker, whose linking up with Swedish visual artist Vincent de Belleval.

The next edition of MUTEK’s flagship event will take place from 22 to 27 August across venues in the Quartier des spectacles, with over 100 visual and sound artists set to appear at the 24th edition. The MUTEK Forum will also return as part of the wider proceedings, running from 22 to 25 August at performance centre The 7 Fingers.
