The two-track release is due out digitally on 22 March.

Sancha Ndeko has announced her debut self-release under her Mia Koden alias. Previously known as one half of Sicaria Sound – which she formed with Imbratura Lou – Ndeko initially revealed her new solo project back in 2021. This week, she announced her debut EP as Mia Koden, comprised of two tracks titled Hot Take and I Did.

The south London-based DJ and producer is set to release the EP later this month. The tracks were made whilst Ndeko was working on other music projects and act as a segway between Sicaria Sound and finding her own sonic identity. Sharing the news on Instagram, she wrote, “Last month I polled my stories of what to kick off this year with and 76% of you said free up some tunes”, describing Hot Take and I Did as “2 x lively low-end tracks sitting just under 140BPM.”

The two tracks are made with dancefloors and soundsystems in mind, tapping into a sound palette akin to early Sicaria Sound and taking in swaggering dub, 2-step, UK steppas and electro. Head to Mia Koden’s Bandcamp to pre-order the release.
