You can now add Spotify listening activity to your BeReal posts

The integration was announced by Spotify earlier today (19 April).

Spotify has teamed up with photo-sharing social media app BeReal for a new integration that lets you add listening activity to your daily posts. BeReal users who connect their account with Spotify can now include the audio they are listening to at the time of capturing a picture in their post, with the app automatically pulling the song or podcast being played along with its cover art. Others on your feed can view and preview the song or podcast.

The integration was announced today and is available in select regions – including the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, according to Spotify’s announcement post. Neither platform has confirmed a date for when it will be available for users outside of these locations. The announcement follows Spotify’s introduction of an AI DJ feature, which curates and plays personalised selections for users, back in February. BeReal, meanwhile, was named the 2022 App of the Year by Apple following its rapid rise in popularity last year.
