The British musician, composer and producer’s new album Sus Dog is due out on 16 June via Throttle Records.

Clark has shared the latest single from his forthcoming new album. Medicine features Thom Yorke playing bass and also lending his vocals with the two of them sharing the verses. The Radiohead frontman also executive produced Sus Dog, which is Clark’s tenth studio album and marks his first release to centre his voice.

Medicine comes accompanied by a video directed by Dylan Hayes that stars both Yorke and Clarke. Hayes also worked on the visualisers for Clutch Pearlers and Dolgoch Tape, both of which feature on Clark’s new album too. Speaking on this new video, Hayes said, “Chris and I have always bonded over a common endeavour to conceal the digital. This is interesting considering we’re using a very digital medium as an element for Medicine – deepfake.”

Explaining further, the director continued: “I was intrigued in using AI in a way that remained subtle. Typically, when deepfake or another AI element is employed, it is the main focus whereas for Medicine I wanted to bury the effect and layer it with additional textures, making it just one of the many components. Through the use of the technology Chris and Thom’s characteristics merge, which creates an uncanny synergy of both their faces and voices, causing a question of who’s who and a theme of the malleability of their voices.”

Clark’s forthcoming new album Sus Dog follows on from his 2021 release Playground In A Lake which featured cellist Oliver Coates, violinist Rakhi Singh and the Budapest Art Orchestra.
