The dress will make its UK exhibition debut at the Design Museum in the upcoming Rebel: 30 Years of London Fashion show.

The swan dress worn by former Crack Magazine cover star Björk to the 2001 Oscars will soon feature in a new London exhibition showcasing designers who have made a significant impact on the global fashion scene. Opening at the Design Museum in September, to coincide with London Fashion Week, the exhibition will be the first time the dress – designed by Marjan Pejoski – has been on display in the UK.

The Design Museum has collaborated with the British Fashion Council (BFC) to curate the exhibition, which will feature 100 objects, including garments, films, drawings, and archival material. Outfits worn by the likes of Harry Styles, Kate Moss and Rihanna will also be shown. The exhibition is sponsored by British fashion house Alexander McQueen and will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the BFC’s NEWGEN designer initiative.

Rebel: 30 Years of London Fashion will be exhibited at the Design Museum from 16 September 2023 to 11 February 2024. For more information, visit the Design Museum’s website. Revisit the Björk cover story here.
