Glastonbury’s Silver Hayes reveals programme for new stage The Information

This year marks Silver Hayes’ 10th outing at the festival.

As part of the dedicated electronic music area’s anniversary celebrations, a new talks stage is being launched. Called The Information, the stage will offer a platform for a variety of debates and discussions with names such as Jeremy Deller, SHERELLE, Jayda G and George the Poet confirmed.

Crack Magazine is also hosting a panel. We’ll be presenting a discussion on ‘re-defining independence’ with ec2a founder Dr. Dubplate, LCY and Hoover Sound co-founder Naina. Elsewhere, Dance Your Way Home author Emma Warren will host a discussion entitled Sports Banger Presents: Books Are Weapons featuring Sports Banger founder Jonny Banger, artist Jeremy Deller and Nina Hervé.

There will also be a discussion looking at how women’s football and society has changed since the euros. For this, SHERELLE will be joined by footballers Jen Beattie MBE, Tatiana Elaguila, Mel Lewis and Monki. Daytimers collective will also present a talk looking at how genuine inclusion can be achieved whilst Jayda G will take part in a discussion on the power of music to accelerate climate action.

Additionally, Big Team will helm a talk addressing whether festivals can be a force for change and Led By Donkeys will be in conversation with musician and DJ Tayo Popoola discussing art, activism and accountability.

Silver Hayes also recently revealed its new Hayes Pavilion – an art project exploring mycelium and its potential to be used within the creative industries. Glastonbury 2023 takes place at Worthy Farm from 21-25 June.
