The Tbilisi radio station is also joining SHAPE+ as an official partner along with Portugal’s OUT.RA festival.
SHAPE+ and Mutant Radio are teaming up for a collaborative showcase taking place on 23 and 24 June at the station’s outdoor venue space. The line-up features artists currently on the SHAPE+ roster. Peruvian, Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist and researcher Ale Hop has been confirmed to play as has experimental sound and video artist Thea Soti.
The two-day showcase will also feature a performance from The Stanley Maneuver – the solo project of Budapest-based musician, DJ and organiser András Molnár – as well as improv trombone player and composer Maria Bertel. Other names locked in so far are violinist Roxane Métayer and experimental audiovisual artist undo despot with more performers set to be announced.
Mutant Radio is a community media platform that hosts mixes, interviews, educational shows, live performances and discusssion broadcasts. From the 15 July, Mutant Radio will be an official SHAPE+ partner organisation. Portuguese festival OUT.RA – which was founded in 2004 and takes place in Barreiro – will also begin working with SHAPE+ from this time.
