DRUMSHEDS can be found on the former Tottenham IKEA site.

A new venue venture from Broadwick – the minds behind spaces like Printworks and festivals like Field Day – is opening in north London this September. Dubbed DRUMSHEDS, the new 15,000-capacity multi-purpose venue will be situated in a warehouse space – formerly home to an IKEA store – in north London’s Meridian Water area. The space has been described as the capital’s “largest culture space of its kind”.

The 608,000 square foot space will combine music, arts, culture and community programming upon its launch later this year. An opening programme of events is due to be announced shortly. DRUMSHEDS is a renewed iteration of a former Broadwick venue of the same name, hosted a different site to its since-closed predecessor. The space is expected to host music events alongside fashion shows, set builds and more. The warehouse features are also due to be kept intact – in keeping with company’s approach to Printworks, which shut earlier this year.

“Broadwick’s mission has always been to build brands that deliver unrivaled, live experiences that create real impact,” said Broadwick’s Simeon Aldred. “We want DRUMSHEDS, like all the spaces we create, to be a new centre of cultural gravity that provides the basis for human connection. A connection that people crave now more than ever.”
