The former Crack Magazine cover star is set to present her new project at the Bristol venue on 14 November.

Avalon Emerson & the Charm are headed to Strange Brew this autumn. Earlier this year, Emerson unveiled her new pop-leaning project, embarking on a new direction to the dance music she’s previously been known for. In April, she also released her debut self-titled album under the new moniker via her new label Another Dove, which Emerson co-founded along with AD 93 founder Nic Tasker.

In support of Avalon Emerson & the Charm, the American musician, DJ and producer is set to play a string of shows with her band later in the year following appearances at festivals such as All Points East and C2C Festival. Emerson heads to Bristol for a date at Strange Brew on 14 November. Tickets cost £13 and are available now. Head here for tickets.

In our review of Avalon Emerson & the Charm we described it as “an album of shimmering melodies and cinematic dreamscapes, knowingly channelling the synth-pop influences she grew up with into playful and emotional pop songs.”

“Though Emerson was never a stranger to linking synth-pop and dreamy, lo-fi guitar music with techno, the UK producer Bullion, a fellow enthusiast, encouraged her to dive further into her love of these sounds.”
