The 10-track album – her first in five years – will be released on 22 September via Halo’s new label Awe.

Laurel Halo has a new album on the way. Entitled Atlas, it marks Halo’s first full-length release since 2015, when she shared the Raw Silk Uncut Wood LP for Parisian label Latency. The first single from Atlas, called Belleville, features Coby Sey and was recorded in “one take in Paris during the spring of 2021” as per a press release. Stream it below.

The new album from the DJ, producer, composer and musician has been described as “the product of a few years’ research into electroacoustic sound design and piano practice”. Atlas features guests such as Bendik Giske – who we just caught up with for the July issue – violinist James Underwood and cellist Lucy Railton, alongside Sey.

Pre-save Atlas here and revisit a 2017 interview with Halo. The artist will debut her new live performance of Atlas at Berlin Atonal this September ahead of the album’s release.
