King Krule has released a new live film featuring unreleased music

Directed and captured by New York-based filmmaker Anna Pollack, You’ll Never Guess What Happened Next… brings together unreleased music and songs from King Krule’s new album Space Heavy with BTS tour footage.

King Krule just dropped a new live performance film. Entitled You’ll Never Guess What Happened Next…, the 27-minute-long film features live recordings of seven songs, including Seaforth and If Only It Was Warmth from June’s Space Heavy LP, alongside (Don’t Let the Dragon) Draag On and Perfecto Miserable from Man Alive!. The artist also performs a new unreleased track entitled Whaleshark.

The film – which you can watch in the player above – was shot by Anna Pollack and features video from Krule’s performance at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York, alongside behind-the-scenes footage from Krule time on the road with his band. Krule will be out again touring across the US, UK and Europe this autumn. Check out his full tour schedule here.

We caught up with London-based illustrator and painter Jack Marshall – a.k.a. Krule’s brother and longtime collaborator – for the June issue Sleeve Notes feature, in which he discussed the creation of, and story behind, the Space Heavy cover art.
