The follow-up to Tracey Denim will be released on 3 November via Matador.

Announced today (19 September), the 13-track album lands just months after the London band’s debut full-length for the label, Tracey Denim. Marking the trio’s fourth studio album, it leads with a new single called My Little Tony, which you can watch below, and was recorded earlier this year by Bar Italia over an eight-week period from a makeshift home studio in Mallorca, Spain.

Bar Italia, made up of Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi and Sam Fenton, are touring the UK and Europe this autumn and winter, with a headline show lined up at London’s Village Underground on 7 November. They will head to the US for a North American tour following this and then return to the UK capital next year in May for a newly announced date at Electric Brixton, taking place on 2 May.

Back in May, we described Tracey Denim as “an up-to-date interpretation of the crunchy, middling-to-heavy, plaid-shirted sound that made Matador so influential” adding that “Tracey Denim’s weariness works in Bar Italia’s favour, conjuring up an atmosphere of overcast late afternoons of the soul where all you’ve got for company are your records and memories of what once was and could have been.”
