Positive Education announces programme of talks and workshops for 2023

The French festival returns to Saint-Etienne, from 31 October to 5 November.

Earlier this year, Positive Education announced a new venue for 2023: the Halle Éphémère, which will host its daytime activities. Now, the long-running festival is announcing a programme of talks and workshops set to take place at the venue for this year’s event. Topics up for discussion are the current and future challenges faced by music labels, featuring the likes of Anetha, and Big Dada label manager Victoria Cappelletti.

Elsewhere, DJ, producer and label owner Jennifer Cardini will join Desire, and Simone Thiébaut along with Naja Orashvili and Giorgi Kikonishvili – from Georgia’s Bassiani and the Horoom Nights party series – and more for a discussion about queer partying, its role within counterculture, and the preservation of safer spaces as such club nights and events.

Halle Éphémère will also host a slew of artists for shows, including BlackhaineGrove, upsammy and Laila Sakini – who’ll take part in a music production-focused talk on the first day of programming. Amnesia Scanner, VTSS, Kahn & Neek, DJ Bus Replacement Service and more will play the festival’s night-time proceedings at Cité du Design.
