Rizla launches design competition

The winner will see their design stocked in shops and also receive a Macbook Pro as a prize.

Rizla has launched a competition to design a new limited edition Rizla Silver booklet. The rolling papers brand, which according to its packaging and website was established over 200 years ago, is looking for creatives to come up with a new visual design for their product.

The competition is open to those aged 18+ and applications will be accepted until 9 February. The winner will receive a Macbook Pro in addition to their design being used for a limited edition Rizla Silver Kingsize Slim pack and sold in shops across the UK.

To enter, there’s a form to download and then you can use the template supplied to create your design. Submit entries to rizlacomps@rizla.co.uk. Head to Rizla’s Instagram for further details on the competition. Full terms and conditions are available via Rizla’s Instagram bio as well.

According to the renowned rolling paper’s website, the Rizla history allegedly dates back to Pierre Lacroix in France in the 1500s and its name refers to the French word for rice, ‘riz’, and the ‘La+’ is an abbreviation of Lacroix. The company previously had the Rizla Invisible Players, a touring van that visited different festivals across the UK in the mid-2000s.
