LCD Soundsystem and Loyle Carner to headline Forwards Festival 2024

The Bristol event has shared its first wave announcement for this year, which will take place on Clifton Downs on 31 August and 1 September.

Today Forwards Festival has revealed LCD Soundsystem and Loyle Carner as its headliners for 2024. The latter will top the bill on the Friday, with Four Tet, Greentea Peng, Maribou State, Floating Points, Yussef Dayes, Romy and Nubya Garcia also confirmed to play.

In addition to LCD Soundsystem, the Saturday will also see sets from Jessie Ware, Yard Act, CMAT, Baxter Dury, Crazy P and Holysseus Fly. Other names confirmed so far for the Bristol two-day festival – which is helmed by Team Love and AEG – include Mrcy, Hak Baker, Da Fuchaman & the Fire Blaze Band and Jersey with the full line-up to be announced.

“Forwards is back for its third year, and we couldn’t be prouder,” Tom Paine, Team Love’s co-founder says. “Each year it grows, evolves and delivers even more for the city of Bristol and beyond. From an international and genre-spanning music lineup to future thinking talks, initiatives and with a growing-in-popularity kids area, Forwards is the perfect day out for everyone”.

Pre-sale tickets are available from 10am GMT on 5 March. General tickets will go on sale next Wednesday (6 March). Head to the Forwards Festival website for further information.
