Sales of the Fontaines D.C., Massive Attack and Young Fathers Ceasefire EP end tomorrow

Proceeds from the release are being donated to Doctors Without Borders to support their work in Gaza and the West Bank.

Pre-orders of the Ceasefire EP, a collaborative release from Fontaines D.C., Massive Attack and Young Fathers, end tomorrow (1 March). The EP features new material from the bands as well as tracks exchanged between them for mutual remix. The release also features artwork by Massive Attack’s Robert ‘3D’ Del Naja, with an accompanying print available.

The limited edition EP, announced in December 2023, is raising funds for Doctors Without Borders’ vital work in Gaza and the West Bank. Speaking on this, Del Naja said, “the contrast between the humanity, courage, and selflessness of the Doctors Without Borders teams and the cowardly and I would say immoral leaders of the US, UK and others could not be more vivid. From here, we watch in abject horror as genocidal acts and the strategic starvation of a people is perpetrated in plain sight, while in Gaza and the West Bank those medics and their support teams place their lives in the direct line of fire with every minute they are there, to help the most desperate people on earth.” “

We’ve produced this work to support the best of humanity and in solidarity with the Palestinian people,” he continued. “We’re humbled by the resilience and determination of both”.

“The EP was really intended to be both a communal token of solidarity with the Palestinian people,” Young Fathers added, “and a material contribution to the incredible work of Doctors Without Borders medics in Gaza. To do that vital work, saving human beings, those teams need a ceasefire now. The people of Gaza and the West Bank need a ceasefire now. We support that demand, and we support the unbelievable courage of those medical teams.”

The Ceasefire EP is available to pre-order from record stores until midnight on 1 March. Head here to pre-order. The limited edition print by 3D can be ordered here.
