SON Estrella Galicia to host event in Brighton

The micro-festival will be held at The Prince Albert on 23 March.

SON Estrella Galicia is expanding its UK events programme and heading to Brighton next month. Cardiff punk quintet Panic Shack are set to headline proceedings with Brighton band and Bella Union-signees Plantoid also topping the bill.

Throughout the event there will also be DJ sets from Kike Louie, Lee Petryszyn and Henry WP. The first SON Estrella Galicia UK event outside of London – with previous micro-festivals at Paper Dress Vintage – the Brighton outing will also feature gastronomy, beer tasting workshops and a beach clean-up. The latter of which is organised in collaboration with local activist groups Leave No Trace, WE Sustainability and the local Brighton community.

SON Estrella Galicia is the independent beer brand’s musical arm, with a focus – particularly in light of the current crisis faced by local venues across the UK – on supporting and partnering with these spaces. Since 2009, its music programme has also been putting on concerts in Spain, Brazil, Portugal and the US.

Tickets for the Brighton event are on sale here now.
