The festival has announced its fifth wave of acts for the upcoming edition, taking place at Brockwell Park on 25 May 2024.
Wide Awake festival has unveiled a new wave of acts for the this year’s line-up, featuring the electrifying South Londoners Fat Dog and Bristol’s favourite queer avant-gardist Lynks. Also new to the bill are New Orleans dance-punk outfit Special Interest, Texan multi-instrumentalists Being Dead, and experimental psych quartet Plantoid.
They join the previously announced headliners King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Slowdive, and Young Fathers, as well as recently added acts Squid, Sevdaliza and Modeselektor. Crack Magazine cover stars Eartheater and Helena Hauff were also previously revealed as confirmed artists for the festival.
This fourth edition of Wide Awake will also showcase a range of talks and workshops, including a panel talk on reshaping health chaired by wellness platform Woo and a discussion on being a DIY political artist in 2024 hosted by Liv Wynter. Irreverent anti-capitalist publication hate zine will be hosting a zine fair, making this the second time the publication and festival have collaborated.
Wide Awake have also announced their partnership with Médecins Sans Frontières, the humanitarian medical care charity known for its projects in conflict zones and in countries affected by endemic diseases.
