The one-day festival takes place at Donnafugata Castle in Sicily on 17 August.
Hosted by Riad ETS, a non-profit association promoting cultural events in south-eastern Italy, Riad Wave is a one-day festival designed to showcase the rich culture and the areas of natural beauty around Sicily.
From Donnafugata Castle, performances will be held in the eight-hectare grounds of the neo-Gothic building, home to over 1500 lush Sicilian plant species.
Opening the festival at sunset, producer, composer and singer LNDFK will perform her 2022 debut album, Kuni. Merging elements of jazz, experimental hip-hop, left-field electronic sounds and more, the Tunisian-born, Naples-raised artist will set the tone for an evening of eclectic music in dramatic settings.
On the main stage, Il Quadro di Troisi – a.k.a. Donato Dozzy, Eva Geist and now Pietro Micioni – will perform their new joint project, La Commedia. Four years after their eponymous debut, the album blends classic Italian songwriting with refined electronics and will be performed live for the first time in South Italy.
Seeing out the evening is Berlin-based DJ Roi Perez. Having played a long list of legendary venues and a residency at Panorama Bar, the artist will deliver a genre-spanning set in the castle’s picturesque courtyard.
