See Skunk Anansie’s Skin make a cameo in FKA twigs’s album teaser

EUSEXUA is set to be released on 13 September, and will be the artist’s first full album since 2019’s MAGDALENE.

Skin, the lead singer of British band Skunk Anansie has made a cameo appearance in the surreal teaser video for FKA twigs’s (real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett) upcoming album EUSEXUA.

Directed by FKA twigs’s partner Jordan Hemingway, the teaser video titled HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED EUSEXUA sees a number of people being filmed in a concrete-walled room explaining what EUSEXUA means to them, with Skin saying: “Everything feels perfect.”

It plays on the format of an advert with other people making feature appearances including dancer Andrew Gregory, model Amelia Gray and artist Parma Ham.

EUSEXUA is set to be released next week on Friday, 13 September, and makes for the first full length album from FKA twigs since 2019’s MAGDALENE. She also released the CAPRISONGS mixtape in 2022.

FKA twigs originally teased the album in January via Discord, where she hinted that it will be heavily influenced by techno after she temporarily relocated to Prague for her role as Shelly Webster in the recently released remake of cult classic film The Crow.

On The Tonight Show, she told guest host RuPaul: “[Prague] is a really amazing gothic city. Lots of beautiful architecture and an amazing underground of techno music and warehouses.

“I’m obsessed with alternative cultures and subcultures, so to be somewhere brand new that I’d never been, that kind of amazing East Bloc techno warehouse raves, techno kids, I just couldn’t resist.”
