The music software company has announced the release of Ableton Move — a new instrument designed for quickly capturing ideas.
Yesterday (8 October), German music software company Ableton announced the release of Ableton Move — a music-making tool for recording new ideas freely as they arise.
With eight built-in audio effects and a core library containing over 1500 instrument presets, samples and sounds — along with collaborations with Sound Oracle, DECAP, BNYX, L.Dre and more — the portable tool offers a similar set of sounds and effects to Ableton Live, but with extra emphasis on easy, intuitive use. If Live is the Google Doc for refining and finalising ideas, Move is the notepad for jotting them down.
Crafted with features designed for capturing creative bursts and experimenting with shaping sound, Move comes with a 16-step sequencer, 32 polyphonic aftertouch pads and nine touch-sensitive, endless rotary encoders, as well as a built-in mic, speaker and more.
Move is also equipped with Live 12.1 Intro — including its compact sample player Drum Sampler, harmonisation and pitch correction feature Auto Shift, and sound auto-tagging.
Head to Ableton’s website for more information on, and to purchase, Move.
