Taking place at The Exchange, the night will be one of three standout Noods-backed events happening across the city this autumn.
This Friday (11 October), Bristol institution Noods Radio will take over The Exchange with a weighty, three-act line-up featuring Shy One — a DJ who, having started out on pirate radio, has always moved with a DIY ethos and eclectic approach reflective of all that Noods represents. Joining her on the night will be Rinse FM’s MJK, who’ll bring his signature blend of grime, dubstep and techno, and Palestinian-Jordanian producer, drummer and MC Big Murk. Expect heavy basslines and a melting pot of genres in the mix all night.
Next month, on Wednesday 6 November, the party continues with a sharp shift in genre at All Saints Church. London-based composer, multi-instrumentalist and experimental multimedia artist Damsel Elysium is set to perform, alongside composer, producer, performance artist and DJ Sarahsson. Blending classical music with folk, metal and experimental sounds, she, like Elysium, is known for moving live shows that blend the soft and the harsh.
Finally, two of experimental’s biggest bands — Moin and Ex Agent — will play on Thursday 5 December at Bristol’s Rough Trade. Expect alt-rock and post-punk sounds, with bits of beat jazz, doom metal and more on the night.
