Southbank Centre announces further events for Little Simz’ Meltdown

The programme will run this summer from Thursday 12-Sunday 22 June, with shows from The Streets, Ghetts, Little Simz and more.

Adding to an already stellar line-up for Little Simz‘ Meltdown, Southbank Centre has announced multiple club nights as part of the Meltdown Lates series, as well as range of free talks and workshops taking place throughout the 11-day festival.

Four club nights will take place across the 11 days as part of Meltdown Lates, with a DJ line-up curated by Little Simz. All taking place in the Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer, Little Simz (June 13), Sippin’ T (June 14), Taylah Elaine (June 20), and DONCH, Jordss, NARX and PÉJÚ (June 21) are all set to perform.

Honouring London’s youth clubs and young talent, Little Simz and Southbank Centre have also created a one-off young project for young producers. Over the next three months, a group of emerging London-based producers will prepare a programme of events, showcases and activities the site’s public spaces. Southbank Centre will also host a range of free events with opportunities to dance, write, sing, sculpt, and connect with like-minded artists. The free programme also features Works in Progress: Speak Easy and At Your Own Pace, a curation of activities by a group of London’s young creatives, turning public spaces into playgrounds of activity.

The main programme will kickstart with a night with The Streets on 12 June at the Royal Festival Hall. Tiwa Savage (14 June), BADBADNOTGOOD (16 June), Lola Young (17 June), Ghetts (18 June), James Blake (20 June) and Jon Batiste (21 June) will also perform at the Hall, as well as Little Simz herself, who will play a one-off show featuring music from her upcoming sixth studio album Lotus on 22 June alongside Southbank Centre Resident Orchestra Chineke! Orchestra.

At the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Sasha Keable is set to play (14 June), as well as Little Dragon’s Yukimi (18 June), Nubya Garcia (19 June) and MEGA (20 June).

Elsewhere on the line-up, The Joy (13 June), Alewya (18 June) and Miraa May (19 June) will play in the The Purcell Room.

On curating this year’s Meltdown, Little Simz said: “My team and I are preparing eleven days of art, music, workshops and more. So many incredible artists have curated this festival so it’s a true honour to be a part of it. Thank you to the Southbank Centre for having me. Meltdown 2025 the Simz way is going to be epic. I’ll see you there.”
