The trio’s set, featuring material from their latest album Nothing alongside older favourites, is now available to stream, adding to the festival’s ever-growing archive of performances.
Le Guess Who? has released the full concert film of Darkside’s performance from its 2024 edition, capturing the trio’s immersive, genre-bending live show in Utrecht.
Since their debut album Psychic, Darkside – made up of multi-instrumentalist Dave Harrington, electronic producer Nicolás Jaar, and, more recently, drummer Tlacael Esparza – have carved out a singular space in contemporary music by fusing electronic experimentation with psychedelic pop, prog rock, disco and more. The group served as one of the guest curators of Le Guess Who? 2024 and took to the stage just ahead of releasing their latest album, Nothing.
The newly released concert film, directed by Dammes Kieft with audio recorded by Marc Broer and mixed by Darkside themselves, features a sweeping setlist that moves between early favourites like Paper Trails and fresh material from Nothing, including Hell Suite, Pt. 1 and Graucha Max.
The release joins the Le Guess Who? Recordings archive, which now houses more than 120 performances from past editions, freely available online. The collection includes sets by artists such as Kim Gordon, Meshell Ndegeocello, Stereolab, Aldous Harding, clipping., Art Ensemble of Chicago, The Microphones, Linton Kwesi Johnson, and Beverly Glenn-Copeland.
With its motto Listening is the Way Forward, Le Guess Who? continues to position itself as one of the world’s most adventurous music festivals, spotlighting voices that challenge and expand what’s possible in sound.
Le Guess Who? 2025 will take place from 6–9 November in Utrecht, The Netherlands. More information and remaining tickets are available at the festival’s website.
