Gaswerk Music Days sets 2026 dates with first artist announcement

MC Yallah & Scotch Rolex, Holy Tongue and others lead the initial line-up for the Berlin festival spread across two weekends.

Gaswerk Music Days has shared its first artist announcement for 2026, outlining plans for the next edition.

Among the acts confirmed so far are MC Yallah and Scotch Rolex, Holy Tongue (Valentina Magaletti and Al Wootton), and Burnt Friedman with João Pais Filipe. Maurice Louca will present Barĩy, joined by Jay Mitta, while Ancestral Futures brings together Ibaaku and K’boko. Azu Tiwaline, Rabih Beaini and Embryo are also on the bill.

The festival is scheduled across two weekends – 24–26 July and 31 July–2 August – at Gaswerksiedlung, a former industrial housing complex now used as studio space for hundreds of artists.

Alongside the performances, the project includes a residency programme linking Berlin-based artists with collaborators from across the African continent, developed with Nyege Nyege and other independent partners. The residencies focus on research and production, with work often carried through to the live programme.

Gaswerk’s activities extend beyond the summer event through a year-round series of concerts and formats, including Modula and Crazy Mega Jam. Upcoming dates tied to the programme include Modula V on 23 April at Gaswerksiedlung, Das Ende der Liebe with Mononoke and Shiva & the Destroyer on 3 July, and KUF with UnoX at Kantine am Berghain on 10 July.

Further artists and programme details will be announced soon.
