Cobrah completes the festival’s new guest curator programme, joining Squid, Shabaka and Jeremy Deller, as Simple Things adds The Avalanches, Olof Dreijer, Alewya and more to its 2026 edition.
Bristol’s Simple Things has revealed the second wave of artists for its 12th edition, taking place on Saturday, 7 November.
Returning with a new four-part curatorial format, this year’s festival continues its focus on contemporary music culture, bringing together internationally recognised artists, underground innovators and emerging talent across venues throughout the city.
Cobrah completes the festival’s guest curator line-up alongside the previously announced Squid, Shabaka and Jeremy Deller. Known for blurring the lines between hyperpop, techno and performance, she’ll curate her own section of the programme, adding another distinct perspective to the festival’s expanded curatorial approach.
Heading up the new additions are pioneering Australian collective The Avalanches, who make their first Bristol appearance in nearly a decade, bringing their acclaimed live show to Simple Things for a rare UK appearance.
Also joining the 2026 programme are Swedish electronic visionary and The Knife co-founder Olof Dreijer, PC Music pop pioneer Hannah Diamond, genre-spanning artist Alewya, fast-rising underground disruptors RIP Magic, trumpeter and electronic experimentalist Takuya Nakamura, and DFA-signed duo Mermaid Chunky.
Elsewhere, 96 Back, Alex Wilcox, Grand River, Kloyd and many more further expand the independent festival’s club, electronic and experimental offering.
The programme also continues Simple Things’ longstanding commitment to Bristol’s music community, with local artists including bassist and producer Marla Kether, alongside The Menstrual Cramps, Cutouts, Dumbhead, and DIALS – the new collaborative project of Batu, Memotone’s William Yates, SCALER’s James Rushforth, Eldon and Bethany Ley.
More than 60 artists have now been announced across venues including Bristol Beacon, Strange Brew, Rough Trade, The Sportsmans and the newly added Shredenhams skatepark space, with each of the four guest curators still to reveal their individual selections ahead of the festival.
