Beyoncé has released the tracklist for her forthcoming Lion King-inspired album.
Recently, it was revealed that the Queen Bee herself is executive producing the soundtrack for Jon Favreau’s 2019 Lion King remake. Last week, the film premiered in Hollywood and the official soundtrack was given a digital release. Now, Bey has followed up with the tracklist for her own album.
Titled The Lion King: The Gift, the LP will feature the film’s soundtrack and new music inspired by the remake. As listed on her official site, the guest-heavy album will feature contributions from Jay-Z, Childish Gambino and Blue Ivy Carter. Former Crack Magazine cover Tierra Whack will also make an appearance, along with Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, 070 Shake, Wiz Kid, Burna Boy and more.
The Disney CGI remake of The Lion King is set to arrive in US and UK cinemas on 19 July, on the same day as The Gift which will be released via Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records. The voice cast of the new film features Beyoncé as Nala and Donald Glover as Simba.
