The London event has added more names, extra dates and shared venue upgrade details for its forthcoming edition this November.
EFG London Jazz Festival returns from 10-19 November, taking place at various venues across the capital city. New additions to the line-up include Josh Henry performing at HERE at Outernet, Dave Okumu and The 7 Generations playing at Bush Hall and a night at Village Underground curated by James Lavelle – known for his work with UNKLE. Joshua Idehen – who has collaborated with the Comet is Coming, Alabaster dePlume and Sons of Kemet – also joins the bill.
The festival will also see two events spotlighting artists from annual talent development mentorship programme Take Five. Run by Serious – the producers behind EFG London Jazz Festival – Take Five works with emerging jazz musicians from the UK and Ireland. As part of this year’s festival, Pizza Express in Holborn will host two consecutive nights of performances from the most recent cohort of Take Five participants. These will take place on 18 and 19 November.
Elsewhere, following high demand a second date has been added for Mayra Andrade’s Union Chapel performance. Additionally, Scary Pockets’ show – which had sold out and was previously set to happen at KOKO – has had a venue upgrade and will now take place at Troxy with more tickets available.
These latest names join the likes of Rarelyalways, Gigi Masin, cktrl and Mulatu Astatke. Head to the festival’s website for tickets and full listings.
