D/R/U/G/S’ Crack Mix 016 is a special entity indeed. Straying far from the traditional mix remit, Callum Wright’s hour-long selection is entirely compiled from rare, unreleased and original production material.
In presenting this mix as a true artist profile, you are left with a no stone-unturned examination of the D/R/U/G/S sound.

The staple of euphoric house and (whisper it quietly) trance strains collide, with elating, almost Border Community-esque refrains that wind and collide in the mix to create an, at times, really blissful listen. Wright deserves real credit for managing to craft a sound of this ilk without straying into saccharine Ibiza ‘chillout’ territory – the sound is far to upbeat, diverse and accomplished for that.

With future releases this year, this mix acts as a pin-drop of the sound that has made him such a talked about artist and performer in the last year.
