New Forms is the Vancouver festival soon celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Last year the event was co-directed by CCL, JS Aurelius and Boo Lean who added an extra sheen to an event already famed for its attention to detail.
Our series of recordings from the 2019 edition concludes with Chicago veteran Jana Rush, who made her name in the juke scene at a very young age in the 90s. Still at the forefront of the footwork sound today, this recording is evidence of her sending the crowd in Vancouver wild with a soulful and groove-heavy set of 160 BPM heaters.
