With past residencies at Panorama Bar, Trouw, DC-10 and Rex Club, releases on her Kwench imprint from the likes of DJ Sneak, Ron Trent and Fred P, a regular event at Pacha Ibiza and a fabric mix to her name, there are few milestones in house music that Cassy has yet to achieve. Today, the Austrian/Bajan artist compiles a Selections playlist of recent favourites and classics from some of the most respected figures in the scene.

The binding principle here is the Caribbean heritage these artists share. As Cassy explains: “The producers I love most and have been influenced by immensely are Caribbean, and there are many. Dennis Ferrer has a double Caribbean heritage – Bermudan & Puerto Rican. DJ Sneak, Louie Vega & Kenny Dope AKA Masters at Work have Puerto Rican heritage. Dave Angel and Mr G are Jamaican. Oscar G and Ralph Falcon’s roots lie in Cuba, and finally Barbadian, or Bajan like myself is Carl Cox and Trevor Rockcliffe.” With a selection of tracks that work as well when listening at home or thrown into a set at the deeper end of the spectrum, there’s plenty here for any occasion.
