Not much is known about Grant or The Lauren Bacall – the label that’s releasing this debut LP The Acrobat. The elusive DJ and producer has only released one track prior to The Acrobat and we’ve never glimpsed them in their natural habitat so we can only speculate on the artist’s true identity.

We can do more than speculate, however, on Grant’s debut album. The 8-track LP is a meditative, nostalgia ridden record that thuds and claps it’s way through 90s deep-house and lo-fi techno underlined with euphoric rave keys and jittery Chicago indebted beats.

With a euphoric ambience constantly stirring and a classic production style that seems to betray a well worn career in music The Acrobat is a warm record that will definitely help brighten an otherwise damp day.
