Radiohead drop video for previously unreleased track I Promise

I Promise is from their forthcoming reissue compilation OKNOTOK

Radiohead have premiered the studio version of I Promise on BBC Radio 6 Music, and dropped the video today (2 June). Directed by Michał Marczak and produced by Pulse Films, the unsettling video features an animated head with wires. The track is from their upcoming compilation album OKNOTOK, which is slated for release on 23 June via XL Recordings. It’s set to feature three previously unreleased tracks and eight B-sides. The other two unreleased tracks are entitled Man of War and Lift.

According to radio show host Steve Lamacq, a source close to the band told him they were “especially pleased to find [I Promise] in the vaults because they thought it’d been lost over the years.”

In a recent interview with Rolling Stonefrontman Thom Yorke said in retrospect, “The whole album is really fucking geeky,” and detailed the paranoia he felt at the time of making OK Computer. “The paranoia I felt at the time was much more related to how people related to each other,” he explained. “But I was using the terminology of technology to express it.”
