Hip-hop pioneer Kidd Creole arrested for murder

The Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five member has been charged for stabbing a homeless man

Nathaniel Glover – who performed as Kidd Creole for influential hip-hop collective Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five – has been charged with murder for fatally stabbing a homeless man on Tuesday night (1 August).

Surveillance footage was used to identify the 57-year-old rapper, who was subsequently arrested on Wednesday night (2 August).

According to Rolling Stonea police report stated: “On Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 2352 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male possibly stabbed at East 44 Street and 3 Avenue within the confines of the 17 Precinct.”

“Upon arrival, police observed a 55-year-old male with multiple stab wounds to the torso. EMS also responded and transported the male to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.”

The victim’s name has not yet been released and the investigation is ongoing. We will update this story as we learn more.
