After a successful inauguration last year, the festival is set to make its return to Houghton Hall, in the Norfolk countryside, on 9-12 August.

Curated by Craig Richards and produced by the team behind Gottwood Festival, the first instalment of Houghton was a non-stop celebration that saw the fabric-affiliated artist play for more than 20 hours over the course of the event. In par with Richards’ sets, the festival’s electronic-heavy programme saw a plethora of DJs perform multiple times during the four-day excursion.

This year, Richards has personally invited veteran Ricardo Villalobos to the festival, along with former Crack cover star Ben UFO, Call Super, Joy Orbison, Midland, Objekt, Prosumer, Pearson Sound, Optimo, Vladimir Ivkovic, Shanti Celeste and many, many others.

On the festival, Richards said in a press statement, “By presenting music, art and a promised experience in an honest and restrained way meant those four days in Norfolk last year were not only magical but they were believable. The setting proved to be nothing but perfect. Our aim is to build on the foundations of last year’s success, but instead of growing we’re sticking to the story with minor improvements and a strong belief in the initial concept.”

In December, Richards exhibited his book A Show of Heads Inside and Out, featuring hand-drawn artworks of those who performed at Houghton. View exclusive images here.
