Last year, the pop auteur revealed she was working on a new album of “unexplored sonic landscapes”.
Speaking to Rolling Stone in April, she said she was “halfway done with another record”, comprised of “more chill vibes, downtempos, synth-y shit”.
Now, via her Twitter, Grimes confirms the Art Angels follow-up will be “out this year”. A release date is yet to be confirmed, though the Canadian artist adds, “i would say spring but realistically, fall”.
Furthermore, the artist revealed last year that she was working on a novel. Recently, Rodarte enlisted Grimes for their AW18 campaign, featuring the musician in a floral tulle ensemble.
