Stormzy calls out Theresa May at the 2018 Brit Awards

“Yo, Theresa May, where’s that money for Grenfell?”

To close out this year’s Brit Awards, Stormzy performed a medley of his tracks including the single Big For Your Boots. During the show, he called out Theresa May, called for justice for Grenfell Tower and included a dig at the Daily Mail. “Yo, Theresa May, where’s that money for Grenfell?” the grime MC asked at one point.

It wasn’t all negative though. He used the platform to give a shout out to the Baftas for honouring Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya last weekend.

Speaking to Clara Amfo after the show, Stormzy said, “I put everything into that album… there was nothing more I could do. I emptied my soul on Gang Signs & Prayer.”

Earlier tonight, he won two awards for Mastercard British Album of the Year and British Male Solo Artist. Upon accepting the award for the former category, he said, “We made something that I feel is undeniable”.
