Listen to Sade’s first new track in seven years

Last month we learned the exciting news that Sade would be releasing her first new track in seven years. She recorded new original material to soundtrack the upcoming film A Wrinkle In Time.

Entitled Flower of the Universe, the track will is her first new material since the release of her bonus tracks on the 2011 compilation The Ultimate Collection. Director Ava DuVernay announced the news on Twitter, with the caption: “I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway. She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget. Proud to announce that Sade has created an original song for WRINKLE IN TIME. It’s entitled Flower of the Universe. And it’s a dream come true.”

We then learned that the track was produced by iconic hip-hop producer No I.D.. Last night on Twitter, No I.D. shared an AudioMack link to the track which you can listen to below.
