The singer’s sixth studio album is reportedly set to drop on 29 March 2019.
Lana Del Rey has been teasing information about her next LP, Norman Fucking Rockwell, for months. However, a date has, according to MTV, now been confirmed. In a round-up of albums to look forward to next year, Del Rey’s sixth album was listed with a release date of 29 March 2019. Del Rey, however, is yet to verify the date.
The news comes after Del Rey performed two country songs, Blue Baby and I Must be Stupid, at a benefit concert for The Ally Coalition on 5 December, hosted by Jack Antonoff. Earlier this year, Antonoff was confirmed as the producer of Del Rey’s upcoming release.

Two tracks off the LP, Venice Bitch and Mariners Apartment Complex, have already been released. Additionally, the musician posted a preview of a third track, Sylvia Plath, on her Instagram page on 25 October. Though it’s since been deleted, it showed Del Rey lying back and mouthing along to a melancholy, piano-led song. She later followed up with the official lyrics to the verse teased in the video via Twitter.
I was reading Slim Aarons
and I got to thinking that I thought maybe I’d get less stressed if I was tested less
like all of these debutantes-
smiling for miles
in pink dresses and high heels
on white yachts.
But I’m not
baby
I’m not

Norman Fucking Rockwell is set to be the follow-up to Del Rey’s 2017 album Lust for Life. Details were first teased on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 on 18 September 2018. Speaking about the LP, she said: “The title track is called Norman Fucking Rockwell and it’s kind of about this guy who is such a genius artist, he thinks he’s the shit and he knows it and he won’t shut up talking about it.”
“So often I ended up with these creative types – or not, or whatever – and they just go on and on about themselves and I’m like, yeah, yeah. But there’s a little bit of merit to it, also. They are so good. I just like the title track so much that I was like OK, I definitely want the record to also be called that.”
